Wet Weather and Meetings Outside

For any evenings outside:

Should there be heavy rain or thunder and lightening then the meeting will be called off.  If the weather turns during a meeting then please come and collect your child as we have no shelter. We are unlikely to call off a Cub meeting if there is only light intermittent rain.

Please always send your child with wet weather gear if there is any possibility of rain

Thank you.

This term we will be giving the older cubs about to move up to scouts, an opportunity to win their Silver Chief scout awards and give them some tips to make the transition easier.
Also a reminder that Subs are now due. Please make cheques for £18, payable to 1st Cookham Scouts. Subs are to cover the cost of the activities we provide. Please pay promptly. If you would like to pay by bank standing order please see Gail for details. No cash please. It is our policy that no cub need miss out on camp, or activities because of financial difficulty. We often have spare camping kit to loan. The group may be able to help with the cost of uniform etc in case of need and all requests are dealt with discretely.

Secondly, could I please ask as a courtesy to the leaders who give their time freely, that you drop off and collect your cub promptly. We start at 6.30pm! It would also be polite to tell us if you can not come to a cub meeting in advance. Thank you.
