Beavers Sporty Sleepover

Sleepover_06_014_1 The 10 older Beaver Scouts held their annual sleepover on Friday, 24th November. This year the theme was sports and there was a full programme of sport related activities. On Friday night they divided themselves into 2 teams and created team T shirts and flags. Each activity carried out during the sleepover scored points for their team. Tents were erected in the hall for sleeping in and we had an indoor camp fire. Saturday started early with breakfast and more activities. Parents arrived at 10am and supported the Beavers in a "human table football" match which was great fun. Prizes and well earned First Night Away badges were awaded to the tired but happy Beavers before going home.

New Leaders

After 10 years of service Joy Poulter, Leader and Heather Pearce, Asistant Leader both retired from running the Friday Beaver colony at Easter. In Cookham we have two very succesful and full colonies, the second one being on a Monday evening.

I am the Leader for the Monday colony and am currently also running the Friday one to prevent it from closing. We do desperately need new Leaders for Friday and if anyone is interested please contact me through the website to find out more. The only requirements are to be over 18 and to have a love of working with lively 6-8 year olds.
